Mother, the new album by Kasper Bjørke Quartet, is out now.
Through these 80 minutes / six compositions, the ambition was to interpret the evolution of our only home; this marvellous blue ball floating through space - where 8 billion humans by now have become a destructive force, a threat to most living species - including our own.
I am genuinely proud of the result that we collectively have created during these past two years - and would like to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to the following musicians and collaborators on creating Mother:

Kasper Bjørke Quartet: Miocene (feat. Sofie Birch)
In 2018 The Fifty Eleven Project by Kasper Bjørke Quartet was released on Kompakt Records. It topped the critics' lists, and was included among The Guardian’s best contemporary albums.
The brand new single “Miocene,” out 09.09.22 on Kompakt, represents the evolutionary shift of primates into archaic humans. Cascading arpeggios and swelling strings imply Homo habilis’ curiosity, during eons of discovery.
