2015: What a year! Besides learning how to be a father for the first time and surviving with close to no sleep for months, I still managed to make some music somehow!I started 2015 by finishing the production of a solo album for Danish friend and long time collaborator Jacob Bellens; an album we have been working on together, for almost three years. It will be released in February 2016, with the first single “Polyester Skin” already in heavy rotation on Danish national radio. I also released two dark jams with my friend Sexy Lazer as The Mansisters on Relish Recordings... I released the collaboration Origami EP together with french artist Abstraxion (which we recorded in the Red Bull Studio in Copenhagen) - as well as remix work for the French dark wave star Colder, the Italian cosmic disco legend Danielle Baldelli, Danish inde band Lowly (still to be released), US house acts Thugfucker and Pillow Talk - and I reworked a track for the Danish cold-war movie The Idealistand collaborated with speakercompany Bose and Formula 1 star driver Nico Rosberg for a soundtrack inspired by the sounds of F1. In August a remix version of my 2014 album "After Forever” was released; After Forever Revisited. It contains remixes from Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, Hotel Lauer, A/Jus/Ted, Matt Karmil and many more. Especially the Michael Mayer Remixmade some pretty big waves out there - which made me very happy. Some of my tour highlights in 2015 were my residency at Output in New York, Bardot in Miami and Robert Johnson in Frankfurt. The cherry on top was without a doubt Sonar Festival in Barcelona in June, a real career highlight for me; such a magical experience to play infront of around 10.000 smiley faces in the afternoon sun. Oh, and also I took part in the charity project Dear Leader, by designing a pair of sunglasses... And whats up next? Well, I have started working on material for a new solo EP and also some collaboration projects. I will be in Paris working with Colder in the Red Bull Studio - and also in Marseille with Abstraxion (working on a follow up to our first EP). With Sexy Lazer I will be releasing our second Mansisters EP on Correspondant next summer and our first EP for Relish Records in the last part of 2016. Other releases and collaborations are being planned as well, which I am very excited to tell you more about, hopefully soon... Happy New Year! Lets try to make 2016 even wilder and weirder ! Kxx
